PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a VEGF production promoter that is effectively applicable as a hair grower or a wound healing agent, has excellent angiogenesis-inducing effects on the peripheries of hair follicles or on wound sites and is suitable for external use to the skin. SOLUTION: The VEGF production promoter especially effective in a hair grower or a wound healing agent comprises one or more kinds selected from anise alcohol, isoamyl salicylate,α,α-dimethylphenylethyl alcohol, Bacdanol (R), helional and isoamyl benzoate.
