PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device for a door and its method of evaluating door-closing performance of a slide type door of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The inspection device 10 for the door has an acceleration sensor 100 and a processor 250. The acceleration sensor is attached to the slide type door, and measures acceleration. Then the processor calculates the speed at which the door is transversely moved based on the acceleration, and processes the speed which changes with closing action of the door.
