<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collectively collect tolls of a plurality of vehicles when collecting the tolls by a non-contact type IC card. <P>SOLUTION: This toll collection system comprises a vehicle detecting device 1 installed at an entrance of a traffic lane (hereinafter called lane) to collect tolls of vehicles, a vehicle discriminating device such as a step board 2 and an imaging machine 3, an antenna 4 for a non-contact type IC card provided with "additional payment" buttons 42 and 45, a start controller 5 installed around the exit of the lane, a vehicle detecting device 6 installed at the exit of the lane and a controller 7 for controlling each device inside the lane. The controller 7 stores a management table 20 for the number of vehicles paying a toll in a memory, increases and decreases the number of vehicles paying a toll in the management table 20 for the number of vehicles paying a toll by an addition instruction of the number of paying vehicles and vehicle leaving detection of the vehicle detecting device 6 with the "additional payment" buttons 42 and 45 of the antenna 4 and manages collective payment for a plurality of vehicles by a user of one vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
