PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a set of synonyms for information about the same program using a simple method. SOLUTION: A program information storage device includes a program information storage means 106 for storing, for each program, program information including program attribute information indicating the attribute of each program, and a synonymous information storage means 107 for storing the program attribute information of the same kind among the program information for the same program. The program information storage device also includes a same program specifying means 103 for reading the program attribute information of each program from the program information storage means 106 and specifying the same program based upon the program attribute information; a synonymous information extraction means 104 for extracting the program attribute information of the same kind among the program information of the same program specified; and a synonymous information storage means 105 for associating pieces of the extracted program attribute information with one another as synonymous information for storage in the synonymous information storage means 107.
