PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel control device for a vehicle enhancing the operability of an accelerator pedal in a vehicle equipped with a constant speed travel control function. SOLUTION: The travel control device for the vehicle for controlling reaction force of the accelerator pedal in a vehicle equipped with a constant speed travel control function has a foot resting means for sharply increasing the reaction force of the pedal when a pedal stroke angle reaches a predetermined angle during a constant speed travel control and a foot resting suppressing means for suppressing sharp increase of the reaction force of the pedal by means of foot resting during overriding. The characteristics of the reaction force of the pedal during overriding is (1) the same as that during ordinary travel, or (2) the same as that during ordinary travel when the pedal stroke angle area is narrowed to sharply increase the reaction force of the pedal and in an area where the angle is larger than that in pedal stroke angle area. The overriding is canceled when the vehicle speed is lowered below a predetermined speed during overriding so as to make the pedal stroke angle correspond to vehicle speed when the overriding is canceled.
