PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device for a vehicle capable of enhancing collision safety or the like at rear collision when an inclination angle of a seat back and a seat cushion is varied in the seat device for the vehicle provided with a comfortable equipment such as a reclining mechanism and a tilt up mechanism. SOLUTION: When an upper tensioner device 49a is operated at rear collision, a tilt gear 44 is clockwise turned and a front end of the seat cushion 11 is forced to displace upward. Whereas, when a lower tensioner device 49b is operated, the tilt gear 44 is counterclockwise turned and the front end of the seat cushion 11 is forced to displace downward.
