PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding means, the binding rod of which is easily secured and made into a ring and which is easy to be manufactured. SOLUTION: This binding means 10 includes a plurality of binding rods 12 and 14, a working member 18 having a pair of working pieces 30 and 32, on each of which a plurality of the binding rods are mounted at an interval, and a retaining member 16, which has through holes for passing a plurality of the binding rods therethrough and retains the working member 18 in a retaining space. The working member 18 is formed so as to move when the closing and opening of the binding rods 12 and 14 are made. Each of the binding rods 12 and 14 is formed so as to have a crosssectional shape, the middle of which swells towards the opening direction of the binding rod and both the ends of which bend towards the closing direction of the binding rod by stretching a wire rod towards the disengaging direction of the securing part of the binding rod and bending the wire rod towards the closing direction of the binding rods 12 and 14.
