PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blanket for printing which improves blanket stability in printing and enables improvement of productivity without deteriorating particularly the quality in high-definition printing, by reducing the amount of swell of the blanket. SOLUTION: A solvent barrier layer 2 is provided under a surface layer silicone rubber 1 and further a lower rubber layer 3 having a hardness within the range of the rubber hardness of the surface layer silicone rubber is disposed under the solvent barrier layer. The range of the rubber hardness of the surface layer silicone rubber is 30-70. The thickness of the rubber is 0.2 mm or less. The solvent barrier layer is a plastic film being 100μm or less thick. The film is a PET film. The blanket is manufactured by forming beforehand the surface layer silicone rubber on the solvent barrier layer and then by sticking this layer and the lower rubber layer together.
