PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data writing method that writes data in a variable length data format having predetermined fields to a cache memory for managing data in a fixed length data format. SOLUTION: The data writing method includes a record reception step of receiving a record in a variable length data format, a field check code generation step of generating a field check code for each field of the received record, a block check code generation step of generating block check codes in fixed length data units for the received record, and a data writing step of reading the received record, using the field check codes and block check codes to assemble fixed length data including both field check codes and block check codes, and transferring and writing them to a cache memory.
