PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool where individual cutting insert is disposed not to interfere with each other when the machining is performed in various ways. SOLUTION: The tool is equipped with not only a fastening part (5) intended to be mounted on a machine tool, but also a tool head (1) forming an insert seat for mounting exchangeable cutting inserts (10, 11, 12, 13). The tool has at least two chip pockets (7, 9) in which two exchangeable cutting inserts are disposed, and the cutting inserts (10, 11 and 12, 13 respectively) disposed in individual chip pockets are intended for a different kinds of machining, and have rake angles opposed to each other. In addition, two cutting inserts disposed in a common chip pocket have a farthermost part in the axial direction disposed at a different position of the axial direction (C1-C1) of the tool.
