PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impeller reducing noise level generated by pressure increase of fluid and a fuel pump using the same. SOLUTION: The impeller 20 is formed in a disk shape, and a same number of blade grooves 22, 24 are formed on rotary shaft direction both end surfaces of an outer circumference edge of the impeller 20. The blade grooves 22, 24 are formed with even pitches in a rotation direction and even width in the rotation direction. A plurality of communication holes 26 are formed in proximity of inner circumference side of the blade grooves 22, 24 with passing through the impeller 20 in the rotation direction. The communication hole 26 is arranged with uneven pitch in the rotation direction, and width in the rotation direction of the communication hole 26 at a section of wide pitch is wider than width in the rotation direction of the communication hole 26 at a section of narrow pitch.
