<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment method for golf club head which can enhance the yield of a heat treatment relatively and ensure the effect of a reforming achieved with the heat treatment method by providing a flange at at heat treatment zone of the golf club head in advance, thereby evading the phenomenon that a melted rugged portion is caused in a base material by directly irradiating the base material in the heat treatment zone with high energy beam such as laser beam or electron beam by the flange. <P>SOLUTION: The heat treatment method for the golf club head comprises: a step in which the golf club head is manufactured and at least one of heat treatment zone is formed in the golf club head and the flange is pre-formed in advance in the heat treatment zone; a step in which the heat treatment is performed to the flange in the heat treatment zone of the golf club head by utilizing the high energy beam; and a step in which the flange in the heat treatment zone of the golf club head is removed with a polishing, are contained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
