<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nylon 66 cord for reinforcing rubber having an excellent tenacity utilizing ratio, fatigue resistance, adhesiveness and flexibility and affording sufficient adhesive strength even when the adhesive pickup is small and to provide a method for producing the cord. <P>SOLUTION: The cord is composed of a nylon 66 fiber cord having 3.0-4.5 relative viscosity in sulfuric acid and has an inner and an outer two adhesive layers. The cord inner adhesive layer is composed of an RF-A (resorcin formaldehyde precondensate-A) prepared by a reaction in the presence of an acidic catalyst and containing 2-10 wt.% of a 2-oxazoline group-containing compound (O) and a rubber latex and the cord outer adhesive layer is composed of an RF-B (resorcinol formaldehyde precondensate-B) obtained by a reaction in the presence of an alkaline catalyst and the rubber latex, respectively. The tenacity retention ratio of the dip cord after treatments with the adhesives is 95-100%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
