<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently preparing an oxidized aliphatic hydrocarbon from an aliphatic hydrocarbon using a solid catalyst which can be easily prepared, and the catalyst used for the reaction. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for preparing the oxidized aliphatic hydrocarbon, the aliphatic hydrocarbon is contacted with molecular oxygen in the presence of the solid catalyst.
