<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovolatic element which is very inexpensive, can be produced at a high speed, and has high performance and high durability by drastically improving the performance and durability of a photovolatic element of a type in which a mesh electrode body formed of a metallic wire is joined to a photovolatic body, among conventional photovolatic elements. <P>SOLUTION: The photovolatic element is formed by joining the mesh electrode body made of a metallic wire onto the photovolatic body.
