PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an optical disk housed in a cartridge provided with a head opening in an opened state. SOLUTION: A protective member 21 for disk cartridge includes; an opening blocking plate 22 which blocks an opening 13 for head part which is provided on a face of one side of a disk cartridge 1 in which an optical disk 6 is housed to be rotatable by being fitted to the opening 13; an intrusion regulating part 25 which is supported by a blocking plate supporting part 18 provided in the opening 13 to prevent the intrusion of the the opening blocking plate 22 into a disk cartridge 1; a cover plate 23 which is extended on a face side of the other side opposed to the face of one side on which the opening 13 of the disk cartridge 1 is provided; and a connecting plate 24 which connects the opening blocking plate 22 and the cover plate 23, and the protective member for disk cartridge is mounted to/from a disk cartridge body in a freely attachable and detachable manner while holding the disk cartridge 1 between the opening blocking plate 22 and the cover plate 23.
