Device for the continuous production of rubber compounds and other filler-containing polymer-based compounds

A device for a continuous mixing process for rubber compounds is described. The device is formed by a twin-screw extruder which has a feedback chamber, in the shape of a cylinder envelope, for the rubber compound, coaxially around said twin-screw extruder, so that a mixing characteristic similar to a stirring vessel results. In addition, the case of the feedback chamber can be steplessly rotated and is designed with interior grooves so that a selective action can be exerted on the degree of homogenisation.
