PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable structure which can reduce its own vibration due to the disk rotation while suppressing generation of dust, in a magnetic disk drive reduced in size. SOLUTION: After a magnetic disk 4 is attached to a hub 46 of a spindle motor, a clamp 6 is further attached and the magnetic disk 4 is fixed. Multiple openings 18 are formed around an axis in the clamp 6. A counterweight 20 formed by elastic material is pressed into and attached to this opening 18. This counterweight 20 rarely produces dust by friction in its insertion or occurrence of a backlash. A gap is arranged between the clamps 6 and the hub 46 adjacent to the opening 18. The counterweight 20 has a convex part on a side of a pillar part, and this convex part enters into the gap between the clamp 6 and the hub 46 and resists to prevent drop off.
