<p>A device is described for stabilising and dampening of pitching, rolling and other movements of a vessel, comprising at least two outwardly and inwardly swinging dampener fins (10) hinged onto opposite sides of the underwater side (12) of the vessel. Each dampener fin (10) is freely mounted in its respective mounting point (18) on the underwater side (12) of the vessel and the dampener fin (10) comprises at least one fin blade (14) that extends out from said mounting point (18) and which is formed in the form of an arch, where the main part of the fin blade (14) is shaped with a mainly convex form in cross-section that, at its outer end (24), goes over into an inverse convex form.</p> |
