<p>The saw blade has, along the longitudinal edge, a series of saw teeth which has a geometric saw-tooth base line extending along the saw blade and is divided by several tooth gaps. The gaps are divided into sections comprising several free spaces of recessed saw blade material in the area of a tooth gap. The gaps extend beyond the saw-tooth base line into the saw blade being provided with an undercut. The free spaces which are recessed beyond the saw-tooth base line extend in an undercutting fashion by a longitudinal directional component of the saw blade and across part of the area of an adjacent series section. The tooth gap tapers, continuously up to the saw-tooth base line. The tooth gap is defined by tooth flanks of adjacent saw teeth. The free space widens, continuously, from the level of the saw-tooth base line, preferably at a maximum widening angle (alpha) of at least approximately 30deg.</p> |
