Side by side plates comprise a plate heat exchanger and are each provided with a surrounding compressible packing. End plates which are rigid seal the packing against an adjacent plate. On each end plate a regulatable compressible device is effective. Each packing is formed with a core wholly or partly enclosed by a thin elastic sealing material. The core is formed from a material with an expansion coefficient corresponding to that of the plates. In each case, a pressure-absorbing surface is provided for a core, facing towards an adjacent plate and has a thin elastic sealing material. |
