FIELD: aircraft engineering, shipbuilding, spacecraft. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at repair of rivet joints. According to proposed method, head of rivet to be removed is preliminarily coated with surface-active liquid-metal alloy which decreases strength of head material. Then head material is broken down, and shank of rivet is knocked out. Proposed method can be used for removing rivets with different types of heads. ^ EFFECT: simplified process of removal, no damage to surfaces, no mechanical or thermal action onto surface and no structural changes of rivet joint material. ^ 3 dwg |
