<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform firmware downloading from aggregation relay equipment to each aggregation subscriber line transmission device without giving an adverse affect to supervisory control and the transfer of a main signal frame concerning a transmission system constituted of the aggregation subscriber line transmission devices and the relay equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The relay equipment 10 comprises a first buffer memory 23A for storing a control request to be transmitted to the aggregation subscriber line transmission device 40, a second buffer memory 23B for storing data to be downloaded and to be transmitted to the aggregation subscriber line transmission device, and a control unit 21 for generating a maintenance frame including the control request and a download frame including download data and transmitting them to the aggregation subscriber line transmission device. The control unit controls the transmission of the download frame in response to the traffic state of a relay frame from a communication network toward the aggregation subscriber line transmission device and the storage state of a transmission waiting control request. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
