PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an adjusting method for achieving high optical performance in an imaging device comprising an imaging element and a photographing lens, such as a digital still camera and a video camera. SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises a photographing lens including a magnification function and the imaging element, mounts the photographing lens on the imaging element, then adjusts the tilt of the imaging element at a first zoom position, and making a part of the photographing lens eccentric in parallel or adjusting its tilt at a second zoom position different from the first zoom position.
