PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital video camera capable of recording a still image of high quality and a high pixel count simultaneously when imaging and recording a moving image. SOLUTION: A digital video camera 1 capable of imaging the still image as well as the moving image includes a still image processing means 4 for converting an image data acquired from an imaging device 2 into a still image format, a moving image processing means 7 for converting a still image format into a moving image data format, and a moving image recording means 8 for recording the moving image data format.
