摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize the direction while enabling miniaturization. <P>SOLUTION: An optical device 100 has a device board 10 in which an opening 2 is formed as substantially and vertically extended and penetrated to a surface, a light-transmitting member 6 coating the first opening 3 of the opening 2 and an optical element chip 5 which is mounted while coating the second opening 4 of the opening 2, and in which the optical element radiating or receiving a light is formed on a surface opposed to the light-transmitting member 6. The optical device 100 further has a conductive section 14 in which a part is buried and formed in the device board 10, and which has a first terminal 12a electrically connected to the optical element and a second terminal 13 electrically connected to a wiring board; and a sealant 7 sealing the electrical connecting section of the optical element and the first terminal section 12a.
