The manufacturing procedure for a ball joint with a spherical head (13) fitted in a crimped cup (2) with an inner cage (8) of a synthetic material consists of making the cup, forming the cage directly inside the cup cavity (3) by over-moulding, inserting the spherical head and crimping the annular edge (5) of the cup and corresponding section (10) of the cage to complete the joint. The remaining recess (11) between the cage and head can be filled with grease introduced during the manufacturing process.
