<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a compact link assembly while assuring the function even if a welded portion is broken. <P>SOLUTION: This ball joint fixing structure comprises a pair of link members 2, 3 on the side of a suspension link 1 doubly arranged on the fixation side of a ball joint 4 via a predetermined space, a socket mounting hole 12 formed in the front end of the link member 2, a semicircular cutout portion 13 formed by cutting out the front end of the link member 3 into an approximately semicircular shape for abutting a socket outer peripheral face 11, a socket stepped portion 10 formed on the socket 5 of the ball joint 4 so as to be inserted into the socket mounting hole 12, and welded fixed portions 14a, 14b via which the link ends and socket joint portions are welded to each other in such a state that the socket stepped portion 10 is inserted into the socket mounting hole 12 and the semicircular cutout portion 13 abuts on the socket outer periphery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
