PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processor displaying a video having a visual effect such as that of a film, with an NTSC-system receiver, a VCR, etc., without feeling a sense of incongruity. SOLUTION: This imaging apparatus is provided with: a CCD 101 which converts an input video into charges by photoelectric conversion and stores them for each field, and then outputs the stored charges at each field; a shutter pulse generator 109 which supplies to the CCD 101 a shutter pulse for adjusting charge storage time in the CCD 101; and a variation controller 104 which controls the adjustment of the charge storage time by the shutter pulse in such a way as to be variable in field unit.
