PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security apparatus for preventing a house resident from being misidentified as an intruder. SOLUTION: The security apparatus 8 for detecting a person and monitoring intruders from outside comprises: a direction specifying program for specifying a direction in which the detected person approaches; an approach permission direction information for storing the direction set by the user; a direction decision program for deciding whether or not the specified direction coincides with the direction stored in the approach permission direction information; a notification program for notifying when the specified direction is decided not to coincide with the direction stored in the approach permission direction information; an input part 4 for inputting a release key for releasing monitoring; a release key collation program for deciding whether or not the release key is correct; a release program for releasing the monitoring when it is decided that the specified direction coincides with the direction stored in the approach permission direction information and that the release key is correct; a welcome-back-operation program for performing specified operation to show that the monitoring has been released; and a processing part 61 for executing the programs.
