PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system capable of casting aside a user's uneasiness and distrust by confirming whether a normal patrol is really performed or not, and realizing sure and comprehensive regional crime prevention, disaster prevention or safety measures by arranging nonconventional security measures with very high density. SOLUTION: This security system comprises a regional control facility 12 provided, for example, in each area 800 m in radius to performing 24-hours security control with this area as a security area. The regional control facility 12 is arranged with at least four patrol vehicles 13 periodically patrolling the security area and acquiring image data and/or voice data showing the state during patrolling. Further, in this security system, a wireless LAN extending over the whole security area through a communication device 22 functioning as an access point provided in each security object is established.
