PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window capable of improving joint strength of a window frame, facilitating the work for the constitution of a drainage device and simplifying the reduction of the number of components and construction work. SOLUTION: (a) A recessed groove collecting rain water to be received is made in an upper surface wall of a head of the window frame, (b) a compatible thing having a plate-like side wall equipped with a plurality of fitly projected edges 33 projected to the outside is used for jambs 3, the upper end section of the side wall is projected slightly upward from the upper surface wall of the head, (c) the longitudinal end sections of the head and the sill are abutted on the opposite sections of both up and down end sections of the jambs to form the window frame by thrusting a screw penetrated from the outside of the side wall of the jamb into a screw hole made in both up and down frames 2, (d) a fitted and projected edge 42 forming a jamb cover 4 having the approximately same length as the jamb on the outside of the side wall of the jamb is fitted to each fitly projected edge of the side wall to fix them to form a drain 5a between the side wall of the jamb and the jamb cover, and (e) a water hole communicating the recessed groove with the drain is provided to the upper end section of the side wall of the jamb.
