PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device and optical equipment capable of preventing the transmission of an unnecessary light to the equipment while thinning the equipment.

SOLUTION: The optical device 1 has a device board 10 in which an opening 2 is formed as substantially and vertically extended and penetrated to a surface, a conductive section 12 with a buried section buried in the device board 10, and a terminal extended from the buried section and exposed from the device board 10 and a light transmitting member 6 coating the first opening of the opening 2. The optical device 1 further has an optical element chip 5 which is formed while coating the second opening of the opening 2 and connected electrically to the conductive section 12, and in which an optical element radiating or receiving a light is formed to a surface opposed to the light transmitting member 6. A terminal for the conductive section 12 is made flush substantially with the surface of the device board 10, and formed in a mounting section 14 directly mounted on a wiring board 101.
