<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the phase transition type optical information recording medium in which the overwrite distortion is suppressed, a high speed information recording is conducted to obtain a high crystallization speed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium includes at least a protective layer (2), a crystallization accelerating layer (7) and a recording layer (3) from the incident side of laser beams. The recording layer (3) changes reversibly between a crystalline state and an amorphous state. The irradiation of the recording layer (3) with laser beams at a predetermined wavelength changes the recording layer (3) from one selected from the group consisting of the crystalline state and the amorphous state to the other state. The recording layer (3) consists of a phase transition material containing at least one selected from Te, Sb and Ge and the crystallization accelerating layer (7) is formed in contact with at least a laser beam incident side of the recording layer (3). The crystallization accelerating layer (7) prevents atomic diffusion or atomic transfer of constituent atoms of the protective layer (2) and/or the recording layer (3) to the other layer and does not contain S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
