PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital still camera producing a plurality of images by image recording systems such as the white balance bracket and the simultaneous recording of RAW+JPEG images, decreasing a storage space and a storage time, and recording a plurality of images onto a new recording medium according to an original photographing image and image processing/recording condition when the capacity of a present recording medium is deficient. SOLUTION: The digital still camera generating and recording a plurality of images from one photographed image by changing the image processing condition, employs an image recording method for recording the photographed image, the image processing condition, and a recording condition to a recording medium. When the capacity of the recording medium is deficient, the digital still camera records only the original photographed image, and the image processing/recording condition to the recording medium, and when a new recording medium is loaded, the digital still camera records a plurality of images according to the original photographed image and the image processing/recording condition which are recorded.
