PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for preventing a paste bait from falling, which is readily attached to and detached from a fishhook, has no bad influence on palatability of a fish in swallowing in a mouth and improves durability of a paste bait and a fishhook equipped with the tool for preventing a paste bait from falling. SOLUTION: Since the tool 10 for preventing a paste bait from falling is composed of a flexible material having elasticity, the fishhook F is readily inserted into an insertion hole 16 by elastically deforming a main body 12. Since a paste bait-latching piece 14 is elastically deformed, a fish caught by the fishhook F is prevented from feeling a sense of incompatibility. Moreover, since the paste bait-latching piece 14 extended from the outer peripheral surface of the main body 12 in the radial direction is arranged so that an angleθbetween the outer peripheral surface of the main body 12 and its upper surface 14a is set at a right angle or an acute angle and a plurality of the paste bait-latching pieces are arranged at intervals in the direction of the shank of the main body 12, the paste bait P is surely latched and the paste bait P is prevented from falling from the fishhook F.
