PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand a lead-in range of a positioning servo mechanism to make the center of an iris image of an eye and the pole of an iris information sensor coincide with each other in the iris information sensor in which pixels are arranged in a polar coordinate state.
SOLUTION: A first position error detection means detecting a position error between the center of the iris image and a pole of a polar coordinate of the polar coordinate sensor unit composed of a plurality of photoelectric conversion pixels arranged in the polar coordinate state are disposed in the center area of the sensor unit, and a second position error detection means are arranged dispersedly in areas of gaps of the photoelectric conversion pixels even in the area with the photoelectric conversion pixels arranged therein. By arranging a third position error detection means in area surrounding an imaging sensor unit, the lead-in range is expanded and also a chip area can be effectively utilized.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
