PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly move a tire, to suppress or prevent occurrence of loss time, to improve stop position accuracy of the tire, to further prevent flaw in a tire side surface, to simplify the structure, to prevent breakage, and to solve the various conventional problems, in a transfer device for the tire. SOLUTION: The transfer device comprises a holding means 31 for holding the tire pushed over sideways so that the tire center axis becomes vertical by pressing a plurality of places of its outer peripheral surface with a pressing member 35, and a slide means 32 for feeding the holding means 31 transversely.
