PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable rolling bearing device for preventing the entry of water or the like. SOLUTION: The rolling bearing device 1 comprises a fixation side outer ring 4 having a circular opening portion, a rotation side inner ring 5 rotatably inserted into the outer ring 4 via rolling elements 6, and a cover member 9 covering the opening portion 4A of the outer ring 4. The cover member 9 has a coating layer 14 formed at a thickness m1 which exceeds the thickness of a coating to be normally applied to an outer ring fitting portion 9A and exceeds a size L shown by the circularity of the outer ring fitting portion 9A in a radius method.
