MODIFIED POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE MOLDED ARTICLE AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURE THEREOF
摘要

Disclosed is a polytetrafluoroethylene molded article having excellent flexing resistance without the loss of tensile strength and tensile elongation. The molded article is a modified polytetrafluoroethylene molded article manufactured by using a modified polytetrafluoroethylene moldable powder. The moldable powder is not applicable to melt molding. The modified polytetrafluoroethylene constituting the moldable powder comprises 0.01 to 1% by mass of a perfluorovinyl ether unit represented by the formula (I) below, and has a heat of crystallization of 18.0 to 25.0 J/g as measured using a differential scanning calorimeter. The modified polytetrafluoroethylene molded article is characterized by a heat of fusion of 28 J/g or lower and a flex life of 2,000,000 times or greater. (I) wherein X represents a perfluoroalkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a perfluoroalkoxyalkyl group having 4 to 9 carbon atoms.
