<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a renewal construction method of a pipe line and a drive device for a polishing member used for the method, allowing smooth insertion of a thickest possible synthetic resin pipe into an existing line with little resistance, and causing no flaw on the surface of the synthetic resin pipe in inserting. <P>SOLUTION: This renewal construction method of a pipe line comprises a pretreating process, before inserting the synthetic resin pipe for renewal, of inserting the long polishing member having a polishing part at least at a part in the lengthwise direction and deformable along bending parts of the existing pipes, applying tension from both sides to prevent loosening of the polishing member, moving the polishing member in the axial direction of the existing pipe to polish the part to be polished in the existing pipe with the polishing member; and a process of inserting the synthetic resin pipe for renewal into the existing line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
