PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a heat exchanger, capable of simplifying manufacturing processes to enable mass-production and remarkably improving reliability, and the heat exchanger manufactured by the method. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the heat exchanger 1 having a core 4 formed by joining a seal plate 3 to the both ends of a plurality of tubes 2, an extrusion process for extrusion-molding a plurality of the flat tubes 2 bored in each with refrigerant passages 2a comprising of a number of pores in parallel, a preparation process in which the tubes 2 are set in an injection molding die 20 for the seal plate 3 under a state wherein crush preventing members 13 are inserted in the refrigerant passages 2a, a seal plate molding process for injection molding the seal plate 3 by pouring a resin material in the injection molding die 20, and a finishing process for removing the crush preventing members 13 from the refrigerant passages 2a, are provided.
