PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type diaper capable of preventing excreta leakage around the crotch and the squeeze deformation of a liquid absorbent. SOLUTION: A first elastic member is disposed adjacently to a free end provided on the peripheral edge of the leg opening of the pants type diaper, a longitudinally long liquid absorbent is joined in a longitudinal direction on the crotch part inner side of the pants type diaper, and traction force in a lateral direction is made to act on both sides of the liquid absorbent extended to a front body part and a rear body part from a second elastic member or an elastic belt-like piece disposed on an exterior sheet.
