<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit capable of slantingly arranging the image read surface of a scanner, and suppressing an increase in space for installing the unit as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The scanner 14 is slid and moved by first and second legs 21, 22 provided at the bottom, and first and second slide rails 17, 18 on both the sides of a device body 12 that is arranged at a lower section and has a circular side shape. As a result, the scanner 14 can be freely moved between a first position where an upper image read surface is held horizontally, and a second one inclined along a device front surface 15, and the height of the entire device is allowed not to increase from the original height of the device body even while the scanner 14 is being inclined, depending on the device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
