PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat panel display device which prevents a device in a pixel region from being damaged by forming an electrostatic discharge unit capable of discharging static electricity on end portions of scan lines inside the pixel region, and to provide a fabrication method thereof. SOLUTION: An electrostatic discharge unit capable of discharging static electricity is formed on end portions of scan lines inside a pixel region so as to discharge static electricity generating in the flat display device without damaging a thin film transistor (TFT).
