The device includes a measuring unit for measuring support forces at clutch and axles of a towing vehicle and a drawbar of a trailer. The support forces at the clutch, the axles and the drawbar are absorbed mechanically, electrically, electronically, pneumatically, hydraulically and optically. An indicator is provided for indicating the measured support forces.
