PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lustrous object photographing method capable of more natural and aesthetic photographing of even a frame strong in surface reflection such as a metallic spectacle frame without capturing of an image of a camera and lens on the surface, and provide a spectacle frame photographing method, and an electronic catalog preparing method for a spectacle frame using this method. SOLUTION: The method of photographing a lustrous object 1 with a camera 2 is characterized in that optical shield members 3 and 4 are interposed between a camera body 21 and the lens 22 of the camera 2 and the lustrous object 1 so that reflection of the camera 2 is not formed on the photographed lustrous object image, an opening 41 is provided in the shield member 4 of the lens 22, and the opening 41 is formed to have a size and shape sufficient to photograph an image of the lustrous object 1.
