<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device capable of executing a game which gives two players playing as an opponent to each other an equal risk of losing an item in a game, and an information recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: When a difference in total value of points between a player's character and an opponent player's character is "9" or smaller, the number of items to be bet by the player and the opponent player is set to "1." When the difference in the total value of points between the player's character and the opponent player's character is "10" or larger and "19" or smaller, the number of items required to be bet by the player whose total value of the points is larger is set to "2."
