The present invention relates to stabilizing compositions for chlorine-containing polymers and resins, which are substantially and preferably free from metals, and which contained at least one or more oxazole, thiazole or imidazole compounds formula (I): wherein X = O, S or NH, and at least a co-stabilizer. These compositions are particularly useful for the stabilization of PVC resins; the stabilized compositions can be advantageously used for manufacturing of pipes or fittings , compact or foamed sheets, films (rigid or flexible), profiles.
