PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce the volume of generated sludge in a method for separating to remove phosphoric acid in phosphoric acid-containing drainage as calcium phosphate. SOLUTION: A method for treating the phosphoric acid-containing drainage comprises the steps of loading calcium chloride required to make phosphoric acid in drainage into calcium phosphate into the phosphoric acid-containing drainage to adjust a pH of 4.5 to 6 in a first reactor 1, adjusting a pH of 8 to 11 in a second reactor 2, and then carrying out solid-liquid separation in a sedimentation tank 4. The separated sludge in the sedimentation tank 4 is recirculated to the first reactor 1, thereby even more volume of the sludge is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
